Writing
I began writing as a journalist for my high school newspaper covering arts and culture in Portland, Ore., and never stopped. At the University of Oregon, I wrote for the multicultural magazine Ethos and the daily paper Emerald Media. I have interned at the Chicago Tribune RedEye, In These Times, the Herald and News, Paper Magazine and Bitch Media among others.
